Bermello Ajamil & Partners’ collaboration on renovations to the American Airlines Hangar No. 3095 allows it to simultaneously accommodate three jumbo jet airplanes. The renovations included the first two floors of an 11-story office building within the facility.
Design components and features included the updating of office areas to meet current code requirements, creating space for flight attendant training and accommodating aircraft maintenance functions in conference rooms with audio-visual systems.
Hangar improvements included refurbishing hangar doors and concrete floors. Ancillary structures were planned to house deluge system pumps, a water treatment plant and compressed air units.
