The Bermello, Ajamil & Partners Construction Services division is overseeing demolition of the NW 5th Street Bridge over the Miami River. The 70-year old structure is being removed to make way for a new bascule bridge scheduled to break ground in late 2008. The bridge is being removed 18 months prior to replacement to make way for dredging of the River. The B&A team will be considered for provision of construction services for the new bridge as well.

B&A has a history of working with bascule bridges in South Florida, including the Venetian Causeway East and West Bridges, 79th Street Causeway Bridge, SW 2nd Avenue Bridge, Hollywood Boulevard Bridge and, currently, the NW 12th Avenue Bridge.
